Choose BAU, Project, or Hybrid work mode
Describe the type of work without changing its permissions or behavior.
Work mode is a label that helps people understand a project.
| Mode | Use it for |
|---|---|
| BAU | Ongoing business work with no fixed end, such as a support or reporting workstream. |
| Project | A finite delivery with a defined scope and end, such as a website launch. |
| Hybrid | A combination of ongoing work and finite deliveries. |
Set or change the mode
Open the project menu and choose Settings… to open Project Settings. Select the appropriate mode and save your changes. You can also update the project and worksheet descriptions there when you have permission.
Creation offers BAU and Project; Hybrid is available in Project Settings. Existing projects can have no mode selected.
Changing work mode does not change tasks, views, permissions, or metrics. The full-word or single-letter marker is a personal display preference, not a different workflow.
