Find the right control in Team
Navigate member records, creation governance, project access, and Inventory.
Use Team to administer the company’s people and inspect access. Begin with the question you need to answer; the page has several controls with different purposes.
Choose the right starting point
| Your question | Start here |
|---|---|
| Who has joined, and who is still invited? | Member directory or Invitations. |
| Which areas can a person enter? | Their member record → Access & permissions. |
| Which department work can they use? | The member’s Spaces access controls, then the actual resource roster. |
| Where can they create a project? | Project creation governance. |
| Who can access this exact Space or project? | Inventory → the resource → its access roster. |
| Can they manage a connected service? | Operations access, role, and Operations scopes. |
Work from a member record
Select a person in the member directory. Read the organization role before interpreting individual settings. The effective-access summary is a starting point, not an exhaustive list of every readable project.
In Access & permissions, checking an area changes whether it is enabled. Clicking the area’s body selects the settings you are viewing. Merely switching to the Operations settings does not grant Operations access.
Within Spaces, review departmental access and project overrides. Save or cancel pending Space-access edits before adjusting individual projects. For creation destinations, use the separate Project creation governance panel: primary department and explicit exceptions do not share existing work.
Work from Inventory
Select Inventory when the question concerns one resource. Filter or choose the resource type, then open the Space or project. Read the effective level returned for each person and use its source labels to understand the result.
Do not compare a Space roster and a project roster as if they answered the same question. A person can reach a directly shared project without having effective access to the containing Space as a whole. A creation-authorized department can also appear as a navigation context without exposing all its existing projects.
Handle pending invitations
Select an invitation to check its recipient, role, and expiry. The invitation controls include Copy link, Resend, and Revoke. Revoking a pending invitation and removing an existing member are separate actions.
Verify the result
After changing a setting, wait for the save result, refresh the relevant view, and inspect the actual resource. Test the intended action with the affected Member rather than the administrator’s own account. Use the detailed access guides when the summary and the expected result differ.
