Set task effort, dates, and recurrence
Use each task field for its intended purpose.
Open a task’s editing controls to review priority, effort, due date, completion date, and recurrence where those controls are available.
Priority describes urgency or importance. Effort is a perceived-difficulty rating from 1 to 5; it is not hours or a time estimate. Unrated effort is different from the lowest rating.
Use the due date for the expected deadline. Use the completion-date control for the recorded completion date where available. These dates affect reports differently.
Use Set recurrence for Daily, Weekly, or Monthly work. Choose the interval, any weekly weekdays, and an optional end date, then Save. Follow the recurring-task guide to verify the next occurrence and stop a series deliberately; canceling an occurrence can lead to another occurrence.
The project’s editing policy still applies. Canceled tasks are frozen in the quick-edit controls; reactivate the task before editing it.
