Move, archive, or remove project structure

Understand the difference between moving work, archiving it, and permanent removal.

Move a project

Open the project menu and choose its move action. Select the destination Space and, if applicable, a folder. You need write access to the source project and project-creation authority in the destination. Moving into a folder also requires the applicable destination Space write permission. Moves must stay within the same organization.

Archive a project

Use the project’s archive action when it should leave the active work list. Archiving and permanent deletion are different operations.

Remove Spaces or folders

Deletion of a nonempty Space or folder is restricted. Read the confirmation carefully: cleanup of archived contents can permanently delete archived projects and their associated worksheets. Do not treat this as merely removing sidebar links.

If removal fails, check for active or archived contents and ask an administrator to review permissions. Permanent cleanup is different from removing a navigation reference.
