Start working with your team
Open a shared project and complete your first useful update.
Before you start
Accept your workspace invitation using the account it was sent to. Your administrator must give you access to Spaces and the work you need.
Your first session
- Open Spaces and confirm you are in the correct organization.
- Expand a Space in the sidebar, or look under Shared with me, and open your project.
- Open All Tasks. Find your work using the assignee filter or search.
- Open a task and read its description, dates, and progress notes. Check the project’s files or canvas when you need context.
- If you have editing access, update the task to reflect what is happening and leave a useful progress note.
You have completed the first step when your team can see a real update on shared work. You do not need to create a Space or connect a provider first.
If no work appears
Check Shared with me, clear task filters, and ask your administrator to check your organization and project access. A link alone does not grant access.
Finish your first useful handoff
Open Personal Account and set a display name your colleagues recognize. Check your notification preferences, then return to the project and leave one useful task update: what changed, what happens next, and who needs to act. Ask a colleague to open that same task so you know you are working from a shared record.
If Mine is empty in Overview, switch to Team or All and check assignment before concluding the project is empty. If you joined successfully but cannot open the intended work, ask an administrator to inspect that project’s access. Use the invitation guide if joining itself did not finish.
