Connect GitHub for repository insights

Choose an app connection or a fine-grained personal access token.

The GitHub connection is presented for read-only repository, release, and CI insights.

  1. Open the GitHub connection from Integrations.
  2. Choose the GitHub App or Fine-grained PAT setup offered by the dialog.
  3. For the app path, follow the installation flow and select the intended account or organization.
  4. For the token path, select the intended repositories and the read permissions listed by the connection dialog, then enter the token.
  5. Select Test connection where offered, then save to finish.

The token instructions list Metadata, Contents, Pull requests, Actions, and Deployments as read-only permissions. Provider requirements can change; use the current dialog and provider documentation when creating credentials.

Check selected repositories and installation or token access if insights are missing. Connecting GitHub does not promise source-code editing or deployment control from this help workflow.
