Build an overview across selected projects
Create a focused review for a department, delivery group, or leadership meeting.
A custom overview gathers a chosen set of projects into one review. The projects keep their own locations. Use it for a weekly delivery meeting or for work that spans departments.
Create an overview from a project
- Open the menu for a project you want to include.
- Choose Add to Overview… → New overview from this project….
- Give it a purpose-based name, such as Weekly customer delivery.
- Open the overview and use Manage projects to review its selection and include the other relevant projects.
- Check the included projects before interpreting task counts.
To add a project to an existing overview, use that project’s Add to Overview… submenu and select the overview.
Make it useful for a recurring review
For a delivery meeting, include current customer projects and exclude unrelated internal work. Choose Team to review accessible team work, then inspect blockers, overdue tasks, and assignments. For a personal focus view, choose Mine.
Keep the selection deliberate. Adding every project to every overview makes it harder to understand what a summary is measuring. Update the selection when a delivery finishes or a new project joins the review.
Share deliberately
Use the overview’s sharing controls when others should use the saved review. Overview visibility and sharing are separate from Space membership. Sharing an overview does not create membership in the underlying Spaces, and it must not be treated as proof of unrestricted access to every underlying project or task.
Ask the intended reader to open the overview and a representative underlying task. If the experiences differ, check both the overview’s access and the task’s own access context. Private overview visibility also should not be described as excluding workspace Owners and Admins.
Diagnose different totals
Two people can see different totals because they have different access, audience selections, or filters. Confirm the same overview, project selection, date windows, and Mine/Team choice before escalating. Open a specific missing task to distinguish a scope problem from an access problem.
Renaming or changing an overview is not the same as moving its projects. Use the actual project move or publication controls when the company structure needs to change.
