Work with Channels and shared references

Use Node Cluster Channels to keep team conversations and shared references connected to work that participants have permission to access.

Open Channels when it is available in your workspace. Choose an available channel, read the context, and use the message controls to contribute.

Share a project using Copy as chat reference from its sharing dialog when you want a message to point back to work. Recipients resolve the reference using their own access. A person without access may see an unavailable placeholder rather than the project name and link.

Channels availability depends on your workspace configuration and entitlement. Access to Spaces alone does not promise access to every channel or feature.

Use a task’s progress notes for updates that belong to that task, and a channel for a broader conversation. Linking a project or file in a message does not grant permission to the linked resource.
